Our origin story

Back in 2004, SafetyCulture’s flagship product, iAuditor was born, the first iteration of a digital platform setting out to help teams do their best work.

For us, no business can be successful without first being safe. So, that’s where we started.

It didn’t take long for millions of inspections to start flowing into our app. And something became very clear: safety and quality share a relationship.

We saw in our platform that those small but rapid acts from people at any level of an organization, repeated consistently, are transformative.

And those transformations can happen across a whole organization, in quality and efficiency, but built on a culture of safety.

We started as an audit and risk tool, but our customers now rely on us for much more than ticking a box. And as the world of work continues to evolve, so do we.

Today, our company and platform are one and the same: SafetyCulture.

Our technology includes issue reports, data capture, analytics, IoT, risk mitigation, training, asset management, a marketplace built into our platform’s workflow, and business insurance.

Or, in other words, we show people what’s working, what’s not working, and we give them the knowledge, tools, and confidence to do something about it.
